Children & Youth
Portage Faith Church offers Children & Youth the following programs during Sunday Worship Services:
- Nursery Care is available for children ages 4 and under during Worship Services. Guests desiring to use this service will be directed to the Nursery Room by an Usher.
- Children’s Church is offered during Worship Services for children in Grades K-5. At the appropriate time during the Worship Service, children are directed by an Usher to the Children’s Church room just off the Sanctuary. Children’s Church is not held the 1st Sunday of each month to encourage children to participate in Holy Communion with their parents.
- Youth Confirmation Classes are offered for children and youth in Grades 5 – 12 in years when a sufficient class size of students can be gathered.
Portage Faith also offers a variety of events for Children & Youth to enjoy – including our annual Christmas Play, our Living Christmas Card event, Trunk or Treat, Easter Bunny visits with an Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School each summer, and pizza nights.
Portage Faith volunteers who work directly with children and youth annually complete Safe Sanctuary training. A copy of our Safe Sanctuary policy is available by request from our Church Office.
